Support
Email support@fromiron.com and you will get a reply from a person, usually within two business days.
What to include
Your display name, your iPhone model and iOS version, and what you expected to happen versus what did. If it is a rank or RP question, the date it went wrong helps — RP is recorded per day, so we can look it up.
Joining the beta
From Iron is in pre-season and not yet on the App Store. Beta testing runs through Apple TestFlight. Email support@fromiron.com with the subject TestFlight and the Apple ID email you want the invite sent to, and we will add you to the next round.
Apple Health
The app says "sample data" instead of my real numbers
That means Health access has not been granted yet. Open the Fuel card on Today and tap Connect Apple Health. If you previously declined, iOS will not ask again — go to the iOS Settings app → Privacy & Security → Health → From Iron and turn on the categories you want to share.
My macros are wrong or missing
From Iron does not count food. It reads whatever your food-logging app has already written to Apple Health. If the numbers look wrong, check the totals in the Health app first — if they are wrong there, the issue is in the app that wrote them. Not every food app writes to Health by default; most have a setting for it.
Does my health data get uploaded?
No. It is read on your iPhone and never leaves it. From Iron also never writes anything back to Apple Health — access is read-only. See the privacy policy.
Local leaderboards
How do I see my town's board?
Open the Board tab and choose Town, Region or Country. The first time, tap Use my location. From Iron finds your approximate town, region and country and keeps only those names — never your exact position.
It says local boards need an update
Your version of the app was built before local boards existed. Update From Iron from the App Store and they will appear.
I moved
On a local board, tap Moved? Update your location. To remove your saved town, region and country entirely, email support@fromiron.com.
Can other players see where I live?
No. Local boards are only visible to signed-in players, and each player only ever sees the board for their own town, region or country. Someone on your town board can tell you are on it too — but nobody can look up where any player lives, and your town never appears on the public global board.
Friends and challenges
How do I add someone?
Tap them on the Board to open their profile, then Add friend. Their request list is on their Profile tab. Your friends have their own board, under Friends.
How do challenges work?
Friends can challenge each other for 3, 7 or 14 days. Once accepted, it starts the next day. Each day is worth up to 100 points — the share of your scheduled habits you finished — plus 15 for every bonus you earn. It's scored on days rather than RP, so a Bronze player and an Obsidian player are a fair fight. Results settle two days after the last day, so everyone can tick off a late habit first. Challenges don't change your RP; the win goes on your record.
Someone is being abusive
Open their profile, tap ⋯ and choose Block — they can no longer see your profile, add you or challenge you, and they aren't told. Choose Report too, and we'll review it within 24 hours.
Workout history
Where are my old workouts?
At the bottom of Train, under History. Tap one to see every set, its own body map and its soundtrack, or to delete it. Sets logged before workout history existed are grouped into one workout per day.
Who can see my workouts?
You choose on your Profile under Workout history. Friends (the default) see your workouts and every set. Everyone lets any player see a summary of each workout, while only friends can open one. Only me keeps them to yourself.
How do I add a soundtrack?
During a workout, tap Add what you're listening to, or open a past workout. Paste a Spotify playlist, album or song link. Private playlists can't be shown to anyone — make it public in Spotify, or add a song instead.
Achievements
How do achievements work?
Open Profile → Achievements. Most are long-haul goals — clean-day runs, total weight moved, promo series won. Some give nothing but the badge, some a one-off RP award, some a permanent boost to the RP you bank each day (+10% at most in total), and a few unlock looks like the Blossom theme. A couple are secret: they show as ??? until you earn them.
My clean day hasn't counted yet
A clean day is every habit scheduled for that day done. Days are counted once they're two days behind you, when their ticks can no longer change — so a clean Monday shows up on Wednesday.
Bonus RP
What are bonuses?
Extra RP for using more of From Iron: checking in at your gym, hitting a daily cardio goal, landing within 10% of your calorie target, and logging RPE on your sets. Turn them on from your Profile. They only ever add — leaving them off never costs you anything, and they never count towards a promo series.
My gym check-in didn't count
A check-in needs six or more logged sets, finished within about 150 metres of the gym you pinned, with Precise Location on for From Iron. A newly pinned gym counts from the next day, and a gym can be moved once a fortnight.
My calorie bonus hasn't appeared
Calories are judged once the day is over, so yesterday's bonus shows up the next time you open Today. Your intake needs to reach Apple Health from the app you log food in.
Ranks, RP and decay
How does the promo series work?
When a day would carry you over the top of a tier, you stop at the top of Division I and play a promo series instead. Each day with every scheduled habit done is a win, anything less is a loss, and rest days count as neither. Your RP holds while it runs. Series get longer the higher you climb: 2 of 3 out of Iron and Bronze, 3 of 5 through Adamant, 4 of 6 out of Crystal and Astral, and 5 of 7 to reach Obsidian. Win it and you are promoted, with three days where decay cannot drop you back out. Lose it and you keep your RP and run it back.
I lost RP without missing a day
Decay applies to days where your scheduled board was not banked, in the ranked queue only. A habit that was not scheduled for that day is not a miss — rest days cost nothing. Check whether the habit was actually due: Today only shows habits scheduled for that day, and the count under the board tells you how many are resting.
I want to stop losing rank
Switch to the casual queue. No decay, no demotions, your own board, and it still tracks everything. Iron tier is decay-proof in either queue.
Why did someone start above Iron?
Placement puts you where you already sit, based on the nine questions. Nobody is placed into Steel or above from placement alone — everything past that is climbed, one promo series at a time.
Account
Change my display name
Open the Profile tab and tap your name.
Delete my account
Open the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. This permanently removes your profile, display name, rank, RP history, habits, completions, lifting sets, saved workouts, linked accounts, friends and challenges. It cannot be undone and we cannot recover it.
If you cannot get into the app, email support@fromiron.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Reporting a bug or a player
Bugs: support@fromiron.com. To report a player, open their profile in the app, tap ⋯ and choose Report, or email the same address with their display name. We review every report within 24 hours and can reset names or rank, or remove accounts.
